Our eyes get no respect from their owners, which is a shame since they are one of our hardest working organs. We use our eyes for everything that we do — reading, working, driving — but we only think to go to the ophthalmologist or optometrist office when we have a problem. Let’s face it — maintaining healthy vision is usually low on people’s priority list. Instead of waiting for a problem to arise, however, we need to be proactive about protecting our gift of sight.
