The Dangers of A Detached Retina
A detached retina can lead to blindness if it is not treated quickly. The retina is a layer of tissue at the back of your eye which processes light. It needs a healthy supply of blood in order to stay healthy and do its job properly.
In the case of a detached retina, the retina is pulled out of place from the tissue that surrounds it. In this case, it can’t do its job and the lack of oxygen means it could die, leading to permanent loss of vision in the eye unless it is treated right away. [Read more…]
